Loss of power steering and battery light can i still drive

How far do you plan on going? Most likely the serpentine belt is broken. That would cause a loss of power steering and the battery warning light will be on because the generator isn't working. Don't know which engine you have but on some of them that belt also runs the water pump. If it does, the engine will overheat in short order and you run the risk of warping a cylinder head. Do you want to risk a $3000.00 repair bill? Even if the water pump is not run by that belt, the battery will run down in about an hour, then you'll be calling a tow truck. I think checking or replacing the belt is smarter than driving it like it is.
