Check engine light is on after going up hill car missed a couple of times first

Going up a small hill my element felt like it was going to stall I gave it a little gas and I made it home. I have been having really bad gas mileage also. Auto zone scanned it and it read code P2646

P2646 points to a problem with the v-tec pressure switch/circuit. This item adjusts valve timing based on hydraulic pressure to it. If the timing isn't advanced at higher RPM's, you will loose power.
