Do i need to take it to a garage asap?
Hello,i have a ford focus cmax,the problem is theres plenty of petrol in the tank but the petrol light is on and the computer is saying its got 36 miles left and goes down when i drive it,i wanted to know when the computer says its empty will it override the petrol gauge and stop??

It should not. The reading are what the sensors are telling the engine computer but it would keep ruuning as long as fuel keeps getting to the system. You would need a scan tool to find out what is wrong.
