I have an 2005 Ford F-250. I am having problems getting it started. I had some DTC codes that I was able to fix and clear so there are no more DTC codes. I replaced the fuel control module and the starter. I have 2 brand new red top optimia batteries. The truck starts when it wants to. If I unplug the batteries and let it sit for a while it will start up, once its started it runs fine. Once it turn it off it will not start again. It doesnt matter if it ran for 5 min or a couple of hours.

I will try to help you. you need oil pressure when cold or on any start up to get these motors to fire up.
there is high pressure oil pump that needs to be checked to verify that it can provide the needed pressure.

you are going to need a truck shop to help you with this as this is the start of the diag process. these motors have been a nightmare to ford with all the issues. not something you can do yourself without extensive knowledge of this motor.

there is a web site www.powerstroke.com that you can visit to see some of the issues and resolutions.
