Good Morning. As I am coming to a complete stop sometimes my truck stalls and flashes the check gauges sign. This happened 4 days in a row once a day. I changed my fuel filter it seemed like it help but It came right back. This only started happening when I picked my truck up from getting my transmission fixed, I took it back there and they said they can't find a problem.

Does any of the gauges readings look too high or too low when this happens? Also what was fixed on your transmission?Have you had the computer scanned for codes yet?

None of the gauges looked out of the ordinary, my steering wheel just starts to lock up and flash check gauges. The mechanic did run it through the computer but didn't find anything. On my transmission, overhaul kit, torque converter, od servo with snap ring, forward drum, valve bodu, fluid and filter.. Basically they had to rebuild it, but I never had this problem until I got it back

The steering wheel is locking up because the engine is dieing and your loosing power steering. Could also be why the check gauges might be flashing from it dieing. Its pretty weird how you never had the problem before the major repairs on the transmission. Sounds like its related some how to what was done or something that got moved or damaged from the repair. When you took it back they couldn't duplicate the dieing when coming to a stop?

They couldn't. When I turn it off and on it goes back to normal. I was trying to see if anything could've been damaged in the transmission that can cause that, because nothing is showing in the computers. They said my fuel filter looked bad and I went the whole day without it locking up on me, but then it resumed

If the torque convertor wasnt releasing when it was supposed to and you came to a stop then it would cause stalling. With that much work done there are a lot of chances for someone doing something wrong in a lot of different places. If you cycle the key and it stops stalling sounds like you are reseting the computer and temporarily fixing the problem. A iac could cause it also. Has the check engine light every come on after it stalled and you continued to drive?
