Parked at Walmart by cart corral and found tail lamp cover smashed by cart. Was wondering how to replace it and if their is a cheaper alternative to the replacement lamp? Possibly interchangable with a cheaper lamp from similar suv?

Did I get the wrong vid?

1. Open the tail gate.

2. Remove the two bolts that hold the tail light assembly to the body.

3. Carefully rotate the assembly out (parallel to the ground) until it snaps free from the body. (Place a small piece of cloth at the apex of the horizontal V shaped edge where the ball-jointed peg is attached to the body. This will help to prevent the assembly from scratching the paint job.)

4. You then have ready access to all of the bulb connectors from the back side of the assembly.

5. Rotate the bulb connector counter clockwise to free the bulb connector.

6. Pull the bulb straight out of the connector.

7. Align the new bulb as the old bulb was aligned, and gently, yet firmly, push the new bulb into place.

8. Return the connector to the empty hole in the assembly and rotate it clockwise to secure it.

9. Push the ball-jointed peg into its receptacle in the body, and reconnect the assembly to the body with the two bolts remove in step 2.
