I have a 2005 Monte Carlo that has a water leak in the Back passenger floor from the carpet. How is this possible? -It only shows water leaks from the BACK passenger floor.

-I have sat in the car while it rained to see where the water is coming from and it is not coming from the windows, or the ceiling. Some how, some way, it is rising from the carpet.

-Where my seat belt is bolted in on the side, I looked under the carpet in that area and in that hole there is water settling.

-And now I have a electrical problem, my dashboard keeps on resetting itself why I drive (multiple times). And my Airbag light stays lit.

One way of checking water leaks is to remove the carpet and use a garden hose around suspected leaking area. Note where the water is coming from and proceed with repair from there.

The electrical fault could be related to the water leak or is another problem and you need to diagnose to verify. Ensure all wirings and body control are not contaminated by the water leaks. And
