I have a 2005 chev express that developed an electrical problem. Out of the blue one morning.

the speedo fluctuates 20 km either way of actual speed, ABS lights and bells ring, transmission shifts from drive into neutral and back into drive(continuously shifting). All happening while driving.
when stopped at a stoplight. All alarms stop. As soon as you accelerate. It all starts happening again.

The battery is draining overnight.

It is definitely a bare wire somewhere. Not sure where to begin looking.

I have to believe out of all the chev vans produced someone else has had a similar problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

First thing to do is clean your grunds especially in a van if you are up north the stuf on the drivers side will catch alot of corrosion. There is a tsb that if something like this happens to disconnect the module connector to the area being effected. In this case it's the pcm/ecm. Enclosed is apicture of what i'm talking about. It seems to lose contact on the connector so you need dielectric compound in the connector to help it along. Running a brush on it to clean off an corrosion will help as well. Hope htis helps, but if this doesn't work you will have to taek it and get it physically looked at.

Hello and thank you for your reply.
I am from the north.(Ontario Canada)

I'm not sure how to open your photo. But I am assuming you are referring to the module located on the drivers side fender well under the hood?

Thank You again

Yes i'm refering to the eclm/pcm module if what I said didn't help you'll have to have I t looked at. The picture didn't download correctly so I don't think you will be able to open it. Sorry, this new site isn't up fully yet.
