My car bucks and hesitates when going up hilss

When my car is going up a big hill it takes a long time to shift gears and the rpms go up real high before it goes into gear. And when going into gear the car hesitates alot and bucks the front of the car while trying to shift but eventyly does shift. Its been only been happing for a few days. Thank you

Check the exhaust system for restriction and also the transmission could be slipping-check fluid level and conition-

It could be the engine that is causing the problem. Engine power has dropped and maybe it is misfiring causing the hesitation. This would result in late gear shift as well.
