Whats wrong?- my car wont start, electrical system not working.
I recently had the car battery changed and was looking to change the alternator as I was having problems starting. however the battery was sufficent. This morning I tried turning the car on and nothing happened, it wont start even the key is turned. Radio and lights dont work, cant lock the car with the key. Electric windows dont work either.

You may well have a faulty alternator, the new battery will only last a short while if it is not getting charged, get the battery bench charged to full charge and then have the alternator charge rate checked, it should be around 13.5 to 14.5 volts there abouts depending on the battery condition. Do not test by running engine and removing battery cable as this can induce a voltage spike that can destroy your ECU (main engine computer)
