Volkswagen Polo Fuel filter Problem
I bought a polo today i had driven about 100 miles when it suddenly started juddering and the engine light came on so i stopped for about half an hour and tried again and it wouldnt fire up

Check what codes are stored.
Gas or Diesel? Could also be fuel pump, timing belt. etc
It's all just guesses... you'll need to have someone look at it.

If it has sat for any period of time there could be bad gas in it or a clogged fuel filter or clogs in the fuel system. Replace the fuel filter, test the fuel pressure, then run two cans of BG44K fuel system cleaner. You will have to go to a car dealership parts counter to get it but it is the only fuel system cleaner that really works.
