Upon closing the gates at home whilst reversing.

Upon closing the gates at home whilst reversing the car out to go to work I noticed that there was oil spraying down from the somewhere under the bonnet. I'm not sure where to start checking or what to check on the different area's of the engine. I would like to at least be able to identify the problem before deciding on the best repair options.

What size engine?

Have someone sit in the car and start the engine while you see where the most amount of oil is dripping from. Then post the info here
so we can take a guess.
