Asked on January 23, 2012

I own a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4wd. My clutch won't engage when running. The 4wd shifter has no problem shifting gears. When 4wd shifter is placed in neutral, I can freely shift gears with the "drive" shifter (keep in mind this is all while the truck is runni

I'm not a motor tech in any way, so I can't give any more details beyond my question/explanation. Perhaps you'll have questions after reading my description that I can answer to help. Thanks again!

CHECK FLUID IN CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER

IF LOW OR NONE, REFILL AND BLEED

IF YOU HAVE FLUID--EITHER THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER OR THE SLAVE CYLINDER MAY BE LEAKING EXTERNALLY, OR INTERNALLY CUPS OR "O" RINGS MAY BE ALLOWING FLUID TO SLOP PAST...IF THIS IS THE CASE, ONE OR BOTH MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED

SEE IF ANY OF THESE ARE "NEAR" BEING YOUR SYSTEM---CHANGING MY SEARCH WORDING MAY BRING IN OTHER RESULTS
