Clutch goes out about every 60000 miles. Have always driven stick shift and never had this problem. Have a 1995 chevy with over 100000 miles on the same clutch. Help!

That rapid wear is not normal on any car. You might consider the transmission is mounted slightly off-center causing the disc to slide sideways every half revolution. There used to be offset dowel pins offered to shift the transmission on the engine block. A transmission specialist will know how to check for that "runout".

He will also look at the throwout bearing and clutch pedal linkage to be sure it is fully releasing. If anything holds pressure on the bearing it will make it easier for the clutch disc to slip and wear.
