With 4cyl auto won't start. turns over very well. spark seems ok by pulling a wire and shorting it to the top of a plug with a screw driver. the fuel pump is working and spurts much gas out. was working fine one day, and now it just tu

2004 Subaru Outback with 4cyl auto won't start. Turns over very well. Spark seems OK by pulling the wire and shorting it to the top of a plug with a screwdriver. The fuel pump puts out lots of pressure too. Was working fine and then just one day it will turn over and over, but never catch.

make sure the spark is a hot blue snapping spark. make sure the fuel pressure is within spec, and make sure the injectors are working.

Make sure the injectors are getting power.
