How to set idling speed on my skoda Fabia 1.2 asit keeps dropping to 800 rpm from 1000 rpm and tends to cut out when it drops this low

Hi I have also got my parents car doing the same I have cleaned the throtle body and EGR Valve and pipes, I reset the EGR light and it came back on after about 15 mins drive and 4 start ups. I am now going to change the EGR valve but have also developed an eratic throtle since I have cleaned the Throtle body and when you take your foot off the throttle the revs seem to rise before they fall on its own? Any help would be great.
