If its not slipping or shifting hard I wouldnt worry about it.I have never had to change the starter on one of those iam sure its not too hard to change.

There is another issue with the Vue. When I apply the brakes, there is a strange rubbing sound that happens. I checked the brakes and the pad level has a lot remaining. There is nothing noticably rubbing against the brakes. Do you have any idea what could cause this?
