2004 Mercedes Benz 350sl Repair Question

Have 2004 ml350 passed smog emissions, failed due to catalyst and evaporation show "imcomplete" Replaced battery 7/11, have driven many miles. OBD still not resetting. Cert Mecedesmech tells me to continue to drive. any suggestions. codes are:evap & cat

if no scan tool
to check what is happening
you have to keep on driving it until ready or set a code
long ride on the free way may help
