Last night I was driving my 2004 mazda 6 Sportwagon home and suddenly all power shut off to the engine. I have headlights radio all electrical but no power to the engine I beleve I can hear the ignition relay click I have dash lights. The gauges go nuts the battery is maybe 2 yr old when I turn on ignition and test the lights all power to the accessories work.
I do know they're starting to go dimmer.
Would the battery actually stop the car from running if it was weak? I suspect it might be the alternator but could it be the hundred and 20 amp main fuse I just don't know what to do I cannot get to the alternator because the plenum is in the way help me please

If the alt gave out and the batter drained, it could shut the engine. I hate to say it, but you need to fully recharge the battery and see if that makes a difference. If it does, then the alternator has to come out and be tested.

If the battery is charged, then I feel it would be a good idea to check fuel pump pressure.
