I have a freelander td4, 2004. I parked at a friends last night and a couple of hours later when I came to leave it would not start. Key tuns but it just makes a fast clicking noise???

That's typical of a run down or defective battery. Start with a jump-start, then measure the battery voltage while the engine is running. It must be between 13.75 and 14.75 volts. If it is low, suspect a charging system problem. Next, measure the battery voltage again with the engine off. It must be around 12.6 volts. If it is closer to 11 volts, it has a shorted cell and must be replaced.
