got freelander 04 plate had to get new battery all electrics come on but car still wont start

battery was dead so started it with jump leads started first time then when tried again electrics came on but car would not start. bought a new battery and the same thing all the electrics come on buit car still does not start please advise

did you get your battery from a parts place? because they are supposed to hook it up and condition it before they sell it. also even though the electronics come on does not mean that the battery has enough power to turn the engine over, a lot of people are mislead by this. so check the battery for to see if there is enough cranking power, does the engine even act like it wants to turn over?? because there may be a problem with the park neutral switch, try starting it in neutral, if the engine isnt making any kind of noise at all

youll need to check your battery connections.also you need to check the voltage at the starter wire whyll starting.

had a flat battery so jumped it started straight away turned car off then when re-started would not start just the electrics came on. so then went got new battery from quick fit i then put new battery in thinking would not have a problem but exactly the same nothin except for the electrics working. followed everything in the manual and the reset procedure clicking the button on key five times to reset etc but nothing. doesnt even turn over just some crackling noise coming from the injection box. any suggestions

you need to check the charging sys. and check for a draw on the battery.
