I was receiving a MAP sensor error, replaced it with a new MAP sensor, was fine for about five days, then received bad MAP sensor code again along with P0014 code, exhaust (b) camshaft position timing over-advanced (bank 1). I was told that it could be because my oil is old and needs to be changed (which the oil light does come on and then turns off after about 20 seconds), what do you recommend?

A code does not necessarily mean a component is faulty. If you have a code P0014, it can affect the vacuum and cause an error of the MAP sensor reading.

Since oil is due for replacement, replace it and if engine is heavily sludged, clean the actuator solenouid valve and its passages.
