This morning after arriving to work, I turned off the engine, and as I opened the door, both front windows rolled down. As long as the car is powered, windows roll up and stay up. When the power is turned off, a few seconds later (or as soon as I open the door) the two front windows roll down on their own. In order to leave the car outside over night, I had to remove the fuse for the doors in order to keep the windows closed. Do I need to bring the car to the dealer or is there something I could do to fix this problem.

I just got done typing a lengthy reply about the inappropriate use of technology, and here you come with another one. Any time a complicated, unreliable, and unnecessary computer is added to a system, we have a whole new batch of problems to address, usually with expensive fixes. I don't know what your windows do that power windows didn't do years ago without needing a computer, but the dealer is the best place to go. They will have someone who either has factory training on the system or is at least familiar with it. They will also have the service information if needed.

If you have a favorite independent repair shop you use a lot, you can ask them first if this is something they are willing to tackle. There are some really good electrical people out there, but if part of the repair includes learning how the system works while they're working on it, that is extra labor time you'll be paying for. Someone at the dealership may know exactly how to diagnose the system and repair it quickly, so that could be the less-expensive route.
