Hyundai 2004 check engine

My 2004 Hyundai XG 350l "check engine" has been diagnosed as P0171 (bank 1 and 2) problem. Please what suggestions do you have in fixing this? Any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance

That code is for bank 1 only, PO174 would be for bank 2. It means at least bank one is running too lean. If it's both sides, then you need to look at things that make it lean like vacuum leaks or Mass air flow sensor.

Thanks Wrench for your timely reply. Now is it safe to drive for now? I am understanding this, that all I will be losing is gas mileage. How do I check for these vacuum leaks or MAF? Thanks again

No, don't assume it's just a minor issue. When the air/fuel mixture doesn't remain at the required 14.7:1, the fuel doesn't burn correctly and it will cause all kinds of issues and can do serious permanent damage also. Some of this testing is going to require extensive knowledge and testing equipment. I suggest you have it diagnosed professionally.
