Two days ago I was driving and all of a sudden my ABS light came on and there was a rattle at the front wheels. I stopped and turned my truck off and then it wouldn't start because the battery was dead. I got a jump start and then the volt gage started going high. Eventually the whole instrument panel died. I installed a new alternator. I also replaced the idler pulleys, tensioner and belt. Back on the road, my headlights would dim and brighten over and over again. Now every time I try to drive the check charging system warning comes on. The volt gage goes up and the rattle is at the front wheels again. Then there will be a loud clunk like something is disengaging and everything will be back to normal. It repeats this process over and over.
I don't know if there is a problem with my ABS system or maybe I got a bad alternator and it is causing the problems.

Have a local pro check this out as soon as you can. It is an abs problem for sure like maybe a sensor ring is falling off then getting back on somehow. He can check charging system as well it may be a fusible link. Also could be a battery problem.
