I have a Ford Expedition that is misfiring. I'm coming up with the code P0316. I am reading that this could be due to moisture under coils and on spark plugs. What can be the cause of the moisture and what is the best approach to stop the problem? Thank you!

DESCRIPTION
MISFIRE AT IDLE WITH DTC P0316
ISSUE
Some 2003-2004 Expedition vehicles built before 7/21/2004 equipped with the 5.4L 2V engine may exhibit a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with no driveability symptoms present, accompanied by diagnostic trouble code(s) P0300-P0308 (Cylinder Misfire Detected) and/or P0316 (Cylinder Misfire within first 1000 revolutions).
ACTION
To service, Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to the latest calibration using WDS release B32.4 or higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at www. Motorcraft. Com. Do not replace spark plugs, coils, or fuel injectors unless reprogramming the PCM does not eliminate the code, and PC/ED diagnostic tests indicate a component failure.
