I have a focus c-max, 2004 reg with 43k miles on the clock. When braking I have noticed a sound similar to a jet engine slowing down in mid air - do you have any idea what would cause this?

IF IT IS A HYBRID, COULD IT BE THAT IT USES A "GENERATOR" TYPE DEVICE SO THAT EVEN SLOWING DOWN IT UTILIZES EVERY MEANS POSSIBLE TO "MAKE POWER"?

DOES YOUR OWNERS MANUAL MENTION ANY SUCH FEATURES?
