I have 2004 Dodge Caravan my alternator went out so I put a new one in one week later the battery light came on again, so I stopped at auto-parts store to check and see if the alternator was good they said it was bad, so went back to the parts store and got another alternator the battery light came on again so I take it to the parts store said it wasn't charging so I bought a new battery. The light still stays on. I was wondering how I can troubleshoot this and see why it's not charging

Use an inexpensive digital voltmeter to measure the voltages on the two small wires on the back of the alternator. These must be measured while the engine is running. Also measure the voltage on the large output wire with the engine off and with it running. Holler back with those readings.
