Have you checked the vacuum lines to the actuator on the front diff? I would check those first I do sell more vacuum actuators then the switch. Does it go in to 4x4 or not?

It goes into 4x4 just fine, its a manual shifter on the floor connected to the transfer case. I don't think there are any actuators on the front diff, the diff and axles spin always.
