DODGE NEON COOLANT PROBLEM

My car over heats and my oil lite is on . i just put a quart of oil in it and i just put coolant in to i started my car to let it flow but my tempeture still reads hot. now i dot what looks like oil in my coolant whhat should i do and can u tell me whats wrong
Sounds like a head gasket but the oil light is the killer. you may need a replacement motor at this point
Now the light went off but the temp went all the way down to cool but its steadily rising whats that mean
