The blower fan quite working I pulled it out but before buying one i ran leads to the positive and neg on a battery and the fan worked. so i used a test light to check power to the fan, the top spade were the plugs in has constant power no matter where the switch is on or off. how do i tell if the switch is turning the power on should the bottom spade have power to it when turned on.

The motor is grounded through a very trouble-prone computer module. Adding these silly, unreliable computers is the only way to add all the toys and gimmicks people demand on cars today. That module lives close to the middle of the dash above the heater box.
