what cause oil pressure to drop on idle but come up when gas is applied

Its normal on highway

At idle oil pressure we be less then at higher rpms this normal.

It drops to zero and light come on

That part must have been cut off your question you will need to get a oil pressure gauge tester and see if its a pressure issue or sending unit/gauge issue wire issue.When the light is coming on.
