Intermitant working speedometer
The speedometer works one day then not the next? I followed cable to trans no visible damage,wondering if it is the sensor located on side of transmition?

Have you had the car scanned for codes?If so what are the exact code numbers you have?

Most likely a bad vehicle speed sensor

Have you had a check engine light? If so please respond the any codes that have been recorded.
If you don't have a scanner, go to your local AP store and get a free scan. Like the other stated most likely a speed senor...

This is Tony with 2004 chevy astro with speedometer problem. I changed speed sensor as suggested and problem solved!!!! Thank You fellows nice job.
