My 2003 Jetta has spark, fuel pressure and compression but it will not start. I did an auto scan OBD ll test and it gave a P0321 code. Can you please tell me what the code means and any possible fixes.

Could be a problem with the "Engine Speed / Crankshaft Position Sensor".

I made a video of its location:

A faulty sensor will cause a no-start or cause the engine to stall if it was running.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I changed that sensor and it still wont run. I also changed the spark plugs and wires.

Check that the timing belt is not missing any teeth. Although if that were the case, then there would also be a camshaft position sensor code.

Some generic scan tools are not able to retrieve all stored codes. It could be that there are others, which would help diagnosis.

To save time, it would be better to have a shop look at the car.

Over the internet diagnosis, unless it is something obvious, will take too long.

I am not with 2carpros, so if one of their experts has any ideas / time, I'm sure that they will chime in.

Thank you for your help. I ended up calling a Volkswagen dealer and their service rep had me check the coil. After spending 2 hundred dollars plus on the coil, I installed the part and it started first turn. Problem solved. Now on to that honey do list.

I'm happy to hear that the coil solved it. That's quite a gamble to take (over the phone) if it does not solve things, that's why I don't suggest things unless I am more than 80% sure.
