I been hitting the starter since then and my car turn on?

Suddenly my corolla stop starting, somebody told me that hitting a little the starter o the solenoid it was to fix it temporary. But that I needed to check the starter or the battery, I did that when I got home, my battery is fine, I took out the starter and the battery I and went to auto zone for checking, they told me that both were good, that I needed to check the fuses o the cables. I put it back the starter and battery but and already checked cables and fuses except one that I can't find. The starter relay, I been hitting the starter since then and my car turn on. But I would like to get some advice from you to fix my problem once and for all! Thank you, I'll appreciate your help in this matter.

If the starter works when you hit it, chances are it is bad. It may have worked for a bench test, but you may have a problem in the car. Here is what to do to check it. When the starter isn't working, have a helper turn the key to the start position. While the key is in that position, check to see if there is 12v of power going to the smaller wire on the starter. If there is, replace the starter. If there isn't, then it could be a relay.

I just want to say Thank you! For the advise it was very useful, you were right about the starter, the starter was showing a good performance during the bench test! I did what you say! And definitive it helped me to resolve the problem, I got another starter and put it back! And problem resolved!
