Hello, my Saab 2003 spring broke last week. I had a recall letter stating that it can be replaced but it has to be within 120,000 or 10 years since purchase. It's still at the dealership and no one has called me, was supposed to tonight. What is the best way get it paid for by the dealership?

This is solely up to the discretion of the dealer, if it is past the nominated cut off date, I doubt that they will do it, but you can only ask.

Does it matter if I'm the original owner? I purchased it in 2007.

No, they set these cut off dates and they often are not very flexible, the dealer gets paid by the manufacturer, the dealer is just a business, if they don't get paid by Saab they will want ton be paid by you, often people think that the dealer is the end of the line, not so, they just dance to the strings pulled from above. So to speak.

IF U R JUST PASS THE CUT OFF DATE OR MILEAGE U CAN CALL SAAB USA THEY WILL TELL U YES OR NO, MOSTLY THEY SAY YES IF U R A GOOD SAAB CUSTOMER, & THE WORK WILL BE COVERED BY THEM. GOOD LUCK. CALL SAABUSA IF U DONT GET AN ANSWER FROM YOUR DEALERSHIP, IN MATTERS OF THAT NATURE [SAFETY RECALL] ISSUES.
