2003 Nissan Altima Repair Question

How do you go about checking the timing on a 2003 Nissan Altima? (2.5L, 4cyl) And also what could cause there to be no spark in the spark plugs?
The car will not crank at all

timing is controlled by the computer. check fuse block lh side of dash #12 and intelligent link boxlink box underhood there is a relay inside it.
