I recently changed oil and filter and after a while the "engine light on" sensor lights on the dashboard

Sorry no references to this vehicle-You sure its not a maintenance reminder lite? If not scan the computer for code/s and get back with any present someone might know-

Have the diagnostic fault codes read. They will get you into the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis.
