Tire Air Pressure

Just bought a 03 Town Car with 70,000 miles from original owner. Just noticed that instead of P225/60R/17 tires it has 215/65/R17. Checked the pressure with different gauges and it was 42 in each tire. Will any damage be done to the tire by adjusting to the pressure up or down like that?

Can tire pressure be reduced from 42 to 32 without damaging the tire or ride?

Thanks for this site :-)

Recommended tire pressure is 32psi. But you can run either or anything in between it the lower the pressure the better the ride. The more air you have with help mileage and give less wear and tear on your car.

Thanks for using the site :-)
