I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon and I got stuck in a large water puddle. The car went half way through the puddle and then turned OFF on me. I tried to restart it again right away, but nothing happened. Then my boyfriend came and pushed it to the house. Now it doesn't start. The battery is working because the lights and the dash turn ON, but it doesn't do anything else.

Please help me I just bought this car for my daughter and I don't know what to do. Thank you.

most likely has hydrostatic lock with the cylinders. try taking out the plugs and cranking the motor to get all the water out.

I would bet you have water in the oil, and the transmission. these fluids must be changed before starting the motor. water is the death of many cars involved in floods. that's why insurance companies just total them in a flood.

if you have comprehensive, call your insurance company and see if it is covered.
