My '03 civic ex won't shift into park. When i shift it where park is supposed to be, the indicator light on my dashboard says its in reverse, not park. to park, i've been shifting it to neutral and using the e-brake.

Potentially all you need to do is have the cable adjusted as it seems that it is out of adjustment. Did you recently have any work done to the transmission? The cable may be stretched as well.

I am not sure with your car if the adjustment can be done at the shifter or the transmission. Look at your transmission where the linkage/cable comes through and see if you can see some adjustment. This isn't super hard to fix, however if not done right you may damage the transmission.
