Lost power thewn now screeching and dying out

My car ran great 1 day took boy to school lost power while turning corner, then got it started then started screeching sound, now parked when start starts fine then a couple mins later starts screeching then dies drags and dies out, changed bottom pulley, didnt work, checked start altenator, and been told its the water pump and powering steering pump nothing leaking and told cam shaft or cam shaft sensor no check engine light, please help!Thanks you

Is the belt tight? Is the tensioner working? Let idle and turn wheel hard into corner and see if power steering pump stops turning and squeals belt.

Yes all are moving freely by hand, the pulley on the bottom was changed is that the tensioner?And noone has ran the car while belt was off just took belt off to test the pulleys, sounds bad like bearings are bad. Idk really anything about cars and guy who looked at it dt either. Why I need help!And dt wanna just buy parts I cant afford and cant take back. Thanks

And its more of a screeching sound then a squealing sound I did l move tires bk and forth and it didnt do much but didnt do it really hard.I havent driven car still sitting.

I'm assuming you mean screeching is coming from engine while sitting still? It could be the alternator bearing is failing/failed. You can use tube to ear to listen close and find exact place of sound.

I tried that cant tell where its from, and I went to auto zone said the alternator was good, could it still be bad?I did buy a new battery. And could the bearing in ur waterpump be bad even with no over heating and make ur car loose power at first?Then it started the screeching really loud. And it did it while driving and sitting still. Water pumps dont usually screech unless they are loose and leaking. Does the car have air it might be the compressor pulley bearing. Or the compressor itself since it functions to aid defrost.

I dt think it is.I took all the belts off and its still making a loud screeching sound like a bearing or something, it starts perfect then does that and dies out locks up, before I took the belt off I pulled back and front in parking lot and it******* real bad and kept dying out so not driveable now, I dt get *** if no check engine light. Thanks

It starts right up perfectly everytime then does the noise then dies out, like I said it******* real bad like was trying to lock up. Can the cas come on without a check engine light on though?Mines never came on. Im scared it is coming from the engine itself. ;(( Dt know.

Maybe. If torque converter is locking up in overdrive or some other internal part is locking? It might act like that? Have not had that exact experience myself. Try starting it in neutral and even jack up front wheels to see if they try to spin when it squeals.
