I have a 2003 Focus SVT. The last 3 gas fill-ups have resulted in significantly lower mpg. The car has 82,000 miles, tire pressure is good, cleaned the MAF sensor, 10K on the spark plugs, no dragging of the brakes, air filter is new, no check engine light.

Engine and acceleration are fine, car runs as it has been only the gas mileage has dramatically been reduced. Oxygen sensor is my best guess but there are no codes.

Weather is a little colder, not using ethanol gas. I cleaned the MAF sensor with no difference in mpg. Plugs and wires have less than 10K on them, air filter is new. Car has a factory temperature, oil temp and oil pressure guage all running at good levels.

Basically short hops in cold weather are gas guzzlers comparatively speaking.
