Sputtering during idle, have to pump the gas pedal while holding the brake on to keep from stalling out. Fuel guage usually stuck past full, and will sometimes show actual fuel level when started and as driving continues the guage reads full to past full in a few minutes

Clean the throttle-body and idle air control. Any applicable trouble codes?

As far as the fuel gage, you should be able to take electrical connector loose from fuel pump, use different resistors for the circuits at the fuel sender unit for the gage. If the gage acts properly, the sending unit in the tank, should be ok and gage problem is elsewhere.
