How to replace ingnition switch

Removal
Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Turn ignition on. Remove upper and lower column covers. Remove lock cylinder. See LOCK CYLINDER.
Disconnect clockspring connector. Remove wire retainer from tilt lever bracket. For models without tilt, remove bracket to gain access to 3 tamper-proof Torx screws. See Fig. 7. Gently pull switch away from column. Disconnect wiring connectors and remove switch from connectors. See Fig. 8.

LOCK CYLINDER
Removal
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable. On tilt columns, remove tilt lever. Remove upper and lower steering column covers. Place shifter in Park position (if equipped with automatic transmission). Insert key and turned ignition switch to RUN position. Press on retaining pin. See Fig. 12. Remove lock cylinder.
