2003 Dodge Ram Driving Along Loss Power Engine Died Out Would Start Seemed

Driving along loss all power engine died out and would not start seemed like battery was dead boosted it it ran good as soon as we disconnected the cables from the truck it ran for bout 30 seconds then died out plz help wondering if its a computer problem or alternator or battery problem
