2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Repair Question

Is their any way to repair the shifter cable, where it hooks to the transaxle lever? the rubber boot is missing
Dealer wants $210 for shifter cable. isn't their some kind of replcement bushing/clip or whatever availble

usually there are clips on eiteh rend that hold the outer piece inplace. if those are borken then they cna bereplaced but the cable housing may have broke from one of these areas.
