there is something blocking the fuel, and the gas pump keeps poping back fuel. What would I check or do to fix this problem.

How do you know what the pump is doing? Did you use a gage and check fuel pressure? Fuel lines clear and fuel filter ok? Don't take any fuel lines loose, unless your sure there is no pressure on the system.
