Rattling noise in steering collum when turning 2003 Chevy 4X4 pu

Ratteling seems to be in steering colum maybe behind steering wheel

It could be the steering intermediate shaft, that is actually outside in the engine compartment. It will transfer up the shaft and sound like it is in the vehicle, in most cases.
