How to repair intermitent AC issues? Turns off and on while running.

The AC will blow hot and cold off and on while the car is running. You can play with the switch to turn it on cool. Mostly will run that high on high speed, but will eventually go hot. Could it be a control switch issue? Can it be an easy repair?
